The subject matter is pure whimsy; the process of bringing these to life, was not. This was my first venture into highly detailed layering with acrylic gouache. Every portion of fur was glazed and layered over to create depth. Achieving the color palette I had envisioned with this series was an entirely different animal. I settled for small details to bring the entire feeling of these paintings to life.
